A chat is one conversation about a task, question, or implementation path. Use separate chats when you want:- cleaner context separation
- a new provider choice
- a different worktree session
- a parallel line of work
Tabs
The main area can hold multiple tabs, including:- chats
- Settings
- Workspace Settings
- Reader
- Usage
- other panels opened as tabs
Common tab actions
- switch between open chats
- close the active tab
- jump directly to tabs 1 through 9
- use the tab context menu to close the current tab, other tabs, or tabs to the right
