Fabriqa supports two broad provider types.

Agent providers

Agent providers are coding-agent integrations. They are the best fit when you want the full Fabriqa coding workflow, including richer agent behavior and agent-specific controls. You typically use agent providers when you want:
  • stronger coding workflow support
  • agent-specific session controls
  • agent install and sign-in guidance in Settings
  • a more complete agentic experience

LLM providers

LLM providers are direct model connections. You typically use LLM providers when you want:
  • lightweight chat access
  • direct model choice
  • quick analysis or reasoning without agent setup
Fabriqa currently positions LLM providers as the simpler chat option. For the fuller agent loop, use an agent provider when possible.

How to choose

  • Choose an agent provider for day-to-day implementation workflows.
  • Choose an LLM provider when you want direct model access or lighter interaction.

  • App-wide provider setup lives in Settings → Providers
  • Chat-level provider choice lives in the chat input toolbar
