Fabriqa exposes live usage and context information so you can understand what the active chat is consuming.

Where to look

  • the usage status line near the chat input
  • the context window indicator
  • the dockable Usage panel

What you can see

  • input tokens
  • output tokens
  • cache reads
  • cache writes
  • reasoning tokens when available
  • estimated cost
  • context fill level

Why context matters

As a chat grows, the active provider can get closer to its context limit. The context indicator helps you see that pressure before the conversation becomes inefficient or needs a reset.

Provider switches

If you switch providers inside a chat, the visible usage state updates to match the active provider as the new data arrives.

When to open the full Usage panel

Open the panel when you want to inspect:
  • a detailed token breakdown
  • provider-specific usage segments
  • cost and context details for the active chat
